Gina Bachauer

Gina Bachauer (1913-1976) was a renowned Greek-American pianist celebrated for her exceptional technique and expressive performances. She was primarily associated with classical music, particularly in the Romantic repertoire, and became a prominent figure in the world of concert pianists. Bachauer gained international acclaim after winning the prestigious 1939 Ysaÿe Competition in Belgium. Notable recordings include her renditions of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Chopin's Nocturnes.
